Advent
Day School, Birmingham, Alabama
The following
letters and artwork are from Mrs. Stayer's third grade class at Advent
Day School in Birmingham, Alabama. Although the students are too young
to read the book, Mrs. Stayer read them an article about Pay It Forward
from the local paper and asked them to share their thoughts and their
Pay it Forward ideas
with the author.
Dear
Ms. Hyde,
I think writing books are fun and challenging for kids like me. My Mom
is like a bookworm because she reads books like Pay It Forward. I've read
your article. It's so wonderful. I want to go to nursing homes and talk
to people that are lonely.
Sincerely,
Riley Blackwell
Dear Ms. Hyde,
I would like to read your book Pay It Forward. If I were to have a challenge
to make a plan to change the world it would be to recycle trash, don't
litter, and to make the world a better place. Some children these days
try to make the world a better place infrequently. But I think that if
people read Pay It Forward they'll really like it.
Sincerely,
Faith Servant
Dear Ms. Hyde,
I want to read Pay It Forward because it sounds great. I would like to
help the world by recycling and picking trash off the ground. The boy
could stop wars probably. I would like to create world peace. I would
be delighted to meet you. Your book will get and award. Good luck getting
an award.
Sincerely,
Robert Chiles
